History

Once upon a time the Pond Beyond was a quarry, a place where rocks are unearthed for our use in other places like our gardens and driveways.

In 1959 the quarry was shut down due to lack of desire for rocks as rocks had fallen out of fashion in the Pacific Northwest.

Around 1969 the Pet Rock skyrocketed in popularity in the US. Business was once again booming for the Quarry at the Pond Beyond.

We bought the Pond Beyond in 2012. At that time it had huge chunks of concrete and ashphault everywhere.
